Want to Shop For Beautiful Items For Your Home While In Waco? Our Top Five Recommendations...

Most folks love to shop when they come to Waco…and why not? Isn’t it fun when you have a throw pillow, or candle or some other special item that you purchased on a trip and each time you see it your are reminded of your vacation? I love having a little something to come home with when I travel, a remembrance of the memories made.

When I take people around town to shop I always send them to these five spots because they are different…not department stores you will find in your home town…but unique small businesses where you can enjoy wonderful experiences.

Magnolia: Without a doubt, if you are visiting Waco you need to go to Magnolia Silos. Joanna Gaines does such a remarkable job of changing the decor each season and the products and each new theme is both inspirational and beautiful. Shoppers can find gorgeous decor for their homes, nice leather bags, t-shirts, candles and even gardening supplies at the back part of the property. The Silos are a great spot to start your day, and you can grab a snack at the food trucks out back and enjoy the shade of the beautiful barn while you admire the surroundings. The historic Silos, the old barn and the original buildings of a once bustling agricultural hub are now home to a beautiful area to shop and dine!

The Findery has so much to choose from, a variety of styles, textures and can be found at every turn.

The Findery: Just a half block from Magnolia is my favorite spot to buy home goods in Waco. The Morrow House has dozens of items from The Findery and they never disappoint. There are two buildings on either side of the parking lot and I think you’ll agree that if you want a unique find to bring home from Waco for your home this is a great place to start. Furniture, paint, pillows, table linens, and more decor than you can imagine. I love the fact that the store is located in one of Waco’s historic buildings, its old brick walls, vintage painted signs and original floors are simply gorgeous.

Spice Village: I had never experienced anything like Spice Village before moving to Waco…and I am never great at explaining it…but everyone I bring there likes it and buys something! There are great clothing shops, fantastic home goods, college themed items, organizers and almost anything else you can think of. The store is in a unique old building and is big enough for you to get a little lost. I think everyone who visits Waco should visit Spice Village.

Unique items for entertaining are always front and center at Gather.

Gather: This retail spot focuses on hospitality….its dreamy. I love the vibe but I really love the gorgeous pottery. You’ll see some of their bud vases in The Morrow House. One day, I dream of ordering dishes from them with the imprint of our name in each plate, bowl and saucer. They offer quality items, not seen everywhere else and I have always enjoyed wonderful service each time I have visited their shop.

These candle sticks are one of many items that Harp is famous for.

Harp Design Co: This great little spot is less than a mile from The Morrow House. I have made several purchases there over the years, and I love this adorable shop. I have found creative wood pieces that we cherish in our home. Of course Clint Harp is the famous table maker from Fixer Upper, but the shop has lots and lots of seasonal items, and well priced locally made items for purchase too.

This list is far from complete, but if you only have a day or two in Waco, these spots should be on your list of spots to shop! Each of these stores is on Instagram if you’d like to see their seasonal hours and products.
